The Council is pleased to honor and celebrate the outstanding contributions of these leading CFOs/Investors.

Richard Veldran

Former CFO, D&B

Rich Veldran was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of Dun & Bradstreet, having taken the company private in February 2019. Rich spent 15 years with D&B, eight of those as CFO. Prior to being named CFO in 2011, he was promoted through a series of other positions within the company, including Chief Strategy Officer, SVP of Global Reengineering, Treasurer and Investor Relations Officer, and CFO of North America. Prior to D&B, Rich spend 7 years with ADP and 7 years with Procter & Gamble. Rich holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Cornell University.

Mike Riccio

Panasonic

Mike Riccio is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Panasonic Corporation of North America. In his role as CFO, Mike oversees financial operations for the region and is responsible for ensuring the company’s business units align with overall global business goals. He has been instrumental in change management, helping to transform Panasonic from its former consumer electronics verticals to a leading provider of integrated business solutions. For over 30 years, Mike has served Panasonic working in key accounting and financial management positions including vice president and controller and led many of the company’s strategic initiatives in the U.S. and Canada. Notably, Mike led the 2013 relocation of Panasonic headquarters to Newark, N.J. Prior to Panasonic, Mike began his career at J.H. Cohn, now known as CohnReznick, and Sealed Air Corp., respectively. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of CPA’s (NJSCPA).

Brian Carolan

Commvault

Commvault’s top numbers guy has been with the company since 2001 and has been chief financial officer since 2012. Before joining Commvault, Brian was crunching numbers at Ernst & Young LLP. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University, his Master of Business Administration degree from New York University, and he is a certified public accountant in the State of New Jersey. In 2016, he was awarded the CFO of the Year Award for Best Growth Manager by NJBIZ. When he’s not watching the bottom line, Brian is most likely watching a Villanova Wildcats basketball game, playing with his fiercely loyal eight-pound dog, Angus, or traveling to a new Major League Baseball park with his son every summer - a tradition he vows to complete until they have seen them all!

Gina Tedesco

Gina Tedesco is an active investor, serial entrepreneur, professor and mentor. Currently managing member of Amala Ventures, a venture firm investing in disruptive technology in the USA and Brazil, Ms. Tedesco's career of over 30 years includes co-founding 3 successful start-up ventures, overseas postings in finance and M&A with a global pharmaceutical company and industry expertise in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and technology. Ms. Tedesco is a member and board member of Jumpstart NJ Angel Network and a member of Golden Seeds. She also serves on the board of two private companies and is an Advisory Board Member of the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship. In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently teaching various online courses in entrepreneurship. Fluent in English, French and Portuguese, Ms. Tedesco earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (Pi Tau Sigma) and a MBA in International Business with a concentration in Finance from The George Washington University (Magna Cum Laude) as well as an additional post-MBA concentration certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Kelly Ford is a tech industry executive and operator turned growth equity investor with a specialty in building value and operational excellence for technology companies pre-revenue to $100M. As Partner at Edison Partners, Kelly invests in high-growth enterprise software companies, and advises the firm’s portfolio on go-to-market strategy and operations. Kelly currently serves on the board of directors for Billtrust, Blue Medora, ExecVision, Kinetiq, and the New Jersey Tech Council. She has been recognized as one of the Best 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ and is a frequent speaker at local and national tech startup, B2B sales and marketing events.

Tony Dimun

Mr. Dimun has served as Chairman of Nascent Enterprises, LLC, a medical device venture advisory firm, since May 2001.Nascent provides strategic advisory services to numerous medical device businesses and portfolio companies. From March 1987 to May 2001, Mr. Dimun served as Executive Vice president & Chief Financial Officer of Vital Signs, Inc., a publicly held anesthesia, respiratory and sleep apnea medical device business that was sold to GE Medical for $1 billion. During the last 20 years he has been an investor and mentor to several emerging growth medical enterprises that have matured to commercial status and became publicly traded companies. Mr. Dimun has been an investor in 30 medical device companies of which four became publicly traded entities and thirteen had successful exits. Mr. Dimun has been a director of several public companies, including, Vital Signs, Inc., Bionx Implants, Inc., Colorado MedTech Inc., Photomedix, ISS Surgical Systems and numerous privately held companies in the healthcare industry. Nascent Enterprises provides numerous universities and foundations with entrepreneurial assistance to commercialize their medical technology. Additionally, Mr. Dimun serves as a limited partner and medical industry advisor to a Private Equity firm and an investment bank. Cofounder and Executive Chairman Dr. Steve Sun grew GENEWIZ, a leading global genomics service provider, from a two-person biotech startup to an international operation employing more than 1,000 people across 12 facilities around the world. GENEWIZ was acquired in September for $450 million.

Gilles Gade is a founder of Cross River Bank (CRB) and has served as its Chairman, President and CEO since its inception in 2008. Gilles is steering CRB as an innovation-driven state-chartered bank and a provider of fully compliant financial solutions to the marketplace lending and payments sectors. Gilles possesses over 20 years of experience in investment banking and venture capital including Co-Founder and Managing Director of Chela Technology Partners and Chela Internet Ventures, a boutique investment bank and venture fund focusing on emerging technologies and telecommunications; technology investment banker at Barclays Capital; and FIG investment banker at Bear Stearns. Gilles started his career in 1990 at Citicorp Venture Capital. Gade graduated from the MBA Institute IMIP (Groupe IPESUP) in Paris with an MS in International Management.

Bill Vogt

As the Chief Financial Officer of Discovery Data, William Vogt is responsible for finance and all related administrative functions including legal, benefits, budgeting, reporting, accounting, analysis, audit and tax. Bill has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting for a variety of service and technology companies and large financial institutions. He began his career with Dow Jones and most recently was Vice President of Finance at NICE Systems Ltd., a global firm providing analytical tools to help organizations draw insights from customer data and deliver the best customer experience. Bill earned a BS in Accounting from Montclair State University as well as an MBA from Rider University.

Rex Liu

Modern Meadow

Rex Liu, Chief Financial Officer at Modern Meadow, is a finance and accounting leader with over 15 years of experience working with and at emerging and high-growth manufacturing companies. Most recently, Rex was part of the team that took Tesla public as well as implemented the financial systems to support the Model S launch. Prior to that, he supported the financial growth of Gilead Sciences from $870 million to $7 billion in revenues. A CPA, Rex began his career at Ernst & Young. He received his honors bachelor's degree in immunology as well as an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Bill Korn

MTBC, Inc.

Bill Korn is a seven-time Chief Financial Officer and former IBM executive with more than 35 years of experience managing fast growth businesses, seeking Board of Directors opportunities where he can contribute his proven expertise in strategy and finance. Bill was a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and has actively participated in over 100 Board meetings during the past 20 years, leading discussions about strategy, acquisitions, raising capital, and financial performance. He is currently Chief Financial Officer of MTBC, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTBC), provider of cloud-based healthcare IT solutions and services. He brought MTBC public on Nasdaq in 2014, buying three competitors simultaneously with the IPO, building a public company infrastructure, and growing the company to an enterprise value of over $100 million. Bill worked closely with MTBC’s Audit, Compensation and Nominating & Governance Committees to create Board governance for a public entity, and actively participates in every Board of Directors and Committee meeting. He has worked with four of the top audit firms, and has led audit committee discussions at five companies. Bill has worked with three executive compensation firms, assisting compensation committees in designing comp plans at four companies. He was corporate secretary of Antenna Software and director of 13 of its global subsidiaries. He was an Advisory Board member of SnapOne, member of the Board of Directors of iRail, LLC, and a participant and presenter to Boards of MTBC, SnapOne, Antenna Software, Telelogue, Integrion Financial Network and Incomnet. As Chief Financial Officer for seven companies, Bill successfully raised over $360 million of capital, including 13 public offerings, 14 rounds of private equity and venture capital, as well as 9 debt financings. Bill has completed 21 acquisitions, including negotiating terms, arranging financing, performing due diligence and integrating teams to reduce costs. He has a track record of creating successful partnerships and joint ventures. In addition, Bill has significant operating management experience. His leadership enabled Antenna Software to grow at an 87% CAGR during his 10 year tenure. He served as President of Telelogue, a venture-backed spin-out of Bell Labs that created advanced speech recognition technology; and as Chief Operating Officer of INFONXX, an Inc. 500 company providing enhanced directory assistance services to the wireless industry. Bill led INFONXX through a period of rapid growth in which the company doubled in size to 2,000 people over a 12 month period. Earlier in his career, Bill spent ten years with IBM building its global services business, and was a co-founder of IBM Consulting Group. He served on the senior management team that created IBM’s highly successful services strategy in the 1990’s; was IBM’s first director of strategy for electronic commerce in 1994; and spent a year on IBM’s corporate strategy team during Lou Gerstner’s first year as CEO. He was instrumental in forming Integrion Financial Network, a joint venture of IBM and 19 premier financial institutions, and became its first CFO. Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics magna cum laude from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
